Khurshid, me and Isha in Istanbul
Travel with Kim & Aahilya Holidays
It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to travel on our own and in later life. Being asked to lead tours alongside Isha Sharma of Aahilya Holidays is a dream come true.
Isha and I started planning my tours in 2024. In 2025 I led 2 x 14 days tours to Uzbekistan and 2 x 7 day tours to Istanbul.
They were great fun, and it was wonderful to travel and meet new people and feel comfortable and cared for.
In the next 3 years years we have planned several more tours for you, all featuring the crafts and textiles of the country we are visiting. We will also look at the architecture and design sources that inspire local crafts people.
In 2026 I will be leading 3 tours - 14 days touring Morocco, 14 days touring Uzbekistan and 14 days touring Turkey.
All my tours have an emphasis on Islamic Architecture as well as the textiles, embroidery and culture of the countries we visit. Since my first trip to Uzbekistan I have become quite passionate about learning more of the history and design of these remarkable buildings.
They are wonderful inspiration.
Because of this passion I am hoping, when possible, Khurshid, our very experienced guide from Uzbekistan, will be joining us on all my tours. His knowledge of the culture, history and architecture right across central Asia is second to none, and will help the guests on my tours understand, and put into context, how the country we are traveling in, has been part of The Silk Road.
